Who we are

Kisha “K.Y.” Linen
Founder | Talent Manager | Industry Veteran

Kisha “K.Y.” Linen is a trailblazer in the music and entertainment industry, with over three decades of experience shaping artists, building brands, and creating space for underrepresented talent. A founding member of the powerhouse label Drama Family Records, K.Y. began her journey straight out of New York City’s High School of Performing Arts, landing a role as assistant to rising label executive Charles Stanton, better known as Big Chuck.

Since its inception in 1993, Drama Family Records has worked with some of the biggest names in the business—from Jay-Z (Blueprint 2) to Dr. Dre (Aftermath). K.Y. earned her stripes early on by staffing and supporting groundbreaking artists such as Envy (Shorty Swing My Way), hip-hop legend Kool G Rap (456), and Grammy-winning producer Theron “Neffu” Feemster.

When the Drama Family team expanded west to collaborate with Dr. Dre, K.Y. took a different path—heading south to Fayetteville, North Carolina (aka Dreamville, hometown of J. Cole). There, she connected with dynamic LGBT artists like DBoss and Tikki Famouz. Recognizing a lack of visibility for queer talent in the region, she began organizing inclusive events in Fayetteville, Raleigh, and Charlotte, ultimately founding Fayetteville’s first-ever Gay Pride event, a legacy that lives on today.

Now, with decades of experience and the continued support of her mentor Big Chuck, K.Y. is leading BLE (Boss Life Entertainment) into its next chapter. With a sharp eye for talent and a deep commitment to community, she’s managing a new wave of emerging stars—including Distraxtion Thee Boss and Sexy Southpaw $Dinera—poised to make major moves in the industry.

Get ready. BLE is just getting started.
